1. Overview & Principles
The Teyalah app is engineered to provide a seamless, reliable on-demand home maintenance experience. To function effectively and deliver features like matching the nearest verified technician, real-time arrival tracking, and photographic fault documentation, the app requests specific system permissions.
Our Core Permission Principles:
- Data Minimization: We only request permissions strictly necessary to execute a specific platform feature.
- Full User Control: You can modify, grant, or revoke any permission anytime through your device settings.
- No Background Surveillance: We never access your camera, microphone, or background location outside of active order execution.
2. Location Permission
Location access is a fundamental permission ensuring timely and accurate home service dispatch.
Note: You may manually enter your service address without enabling GPS, though granting permission ensures pinpoint accuracy and prevents dispatch delays.
3. Camera Permission
We request camera access to allow you to photograph or record the malfunction before work begins and upon completion.
- Fault Documentation: Capturing images of pipes, AC units, or electrical boards to help technicians bring appropriate parts.
- Invoices & Receipts: Photographing spare parts receipts to include them in the digital escrow billing record.
- Technician Verification (KYC): For technicians, used to verify official identification and trade certifications during vetting.
4. Photos & Storage Permission
This permission allows you to attach existing photos from your library to a maintenance request and save maintenance reports or VAT invoices directly to your device.
We only access the specific images you actively select within the app picker. We have zero access to the remainder of your personal photo gallery.
5. Push Notifications Permission
Push notifications are essential for tracking the five stages of your order lifecycle and maintaining account security.
6. Microphone Permission
Microphone permission is requested solely when you choose to record an audio note in the order chat to describe a mechanical noise (e.g., unusual AC or water pump sounds) or during in-app voice support.
The microphone activates only during active push-to-record interaction and immediately disengages upon release.
7. Network & Telemetry
The app utilizes internet connectivity (Wi-Fi and mobile data) to maintain encrypted TLS 1.3 socket connections with Teyalah servers, stream real-time telemetry, and perform security checks against fraud.
8. How to Manage & Revoke Permissions
You can review, modify, or revoke any granted permissions at any time through your device settings:
- Open device 'Settings'.
- Scroll down and select 'Teyalah'.
- Toggle any permission on or off (Location, Camera, Notifications).
- Open device 'Settings' > 'Apps'.
- Select 'Teyalah'.
- Tap 'Permissions' and adjust permissions according to your preference.
9. Our Security & Privacy Pledge
Omnexa Technology pledges that all data gathered via these permissions is subject to rigorous encryption and full compliance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
We never monetize, sell, or rent any permission-derived data to third parties or advertising brokers. For further details, please review our Privacy Policy and Privacy Center.
